My Business Cards Have Arrived!

Having my own business card has been long overdue. I never knew what information to include and graphic design and layouts are not my strengths. I had heard of a company called Moo, which specializes in business cards or printing any sort of stock, like postcards. Their motto is, "We love to print." I had not heard a single negative thing about this company, so I decided to give them a shot. Well, the cards arrived the other day. Did Moo pull through? Spoiler alert: YES THEY DID!

You can read all about their product on the back of the box in the image above. Packaging, by the way, is very well done. The little box case is cute and has little dividers to separate cards you are giving out from those you want to keep for yourself. Everything is recyclable, too! All these little touches add up to make an excellent, personal product.

There are a plethora of customizable templates (you can create or upload your own designs too), various quality/paper stocks, etc. to choose from. I chose the Polaroid template, because what better way to say I am a photographer than handing someone a Polaroid?! I have five different photos/cards, each with a different phrase written beneath them, and all my information is on the back. (Note: My phone number is listed on the actual cards, just not on the image above.) For about $30 (with priority shipping), I received 50 cards (10 of each design) about a week later.

The colors are outstanding and the quality is above average. After a day of carrying around a couple cards in my pocket, they picked up a few chips on the edges, which is expected. However, the front and back faces held up great.

Moo definitely went the extra mile and it shows. I will order from them again in a heartbeat!

Business cards are vital and I realized this immediately. One of my friends began asking about my photography and what I charge as soon as she saw the cards! You can talk about your product or brand all day, but only when you show it off will others get it. Your business card is the bridge to your brand and an expression of who you are. Obviously, my advice to anyone with a service is to have their own business card, but also make it personal and unique. Make it memorable!
