Mt. Erie: 2 Years Later
Mt. Erie is the highest peak on Fidalgo Island, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It overlooks the immediate area, including Whidbey Island.
My friend, Tim, has been living in Seattle and the last time we had hiked Mt. Erie was over two years ago. Rain or shine, he made the trip back up north and we were returning to the peak! We met up with two great friends at the top, Ken and Ann. We talked them into hiking down with us (and we would drive them back up to their vehicle), which was awesome! It gave us all that much more time to catch up. I took very few photos along the way, just wanting to enjoy the company of good friends, but this one sums them up pretty well:
We are a goofy bunch! It is always fun when we are together. Here is one final shot; a clear view of the islands. If you are ever up in this area, do yourself a favor and take a trip up Mt. Erie!
P.S. On a sunny day, you can see the nearby mountains in the distance, making for an even more majestic view.
